Recently, The Rich Eison Show brought up O’Shea Jackson, an actor and musician, and the son of famous rapper Ice Cube. They discussed how the Los Angeles Lakers’ new coaching hire Rasheed Wallace, a former basketball player and now an assistant coach for the Lakers can help Anthony Davis who missed 17 consecutive games due to injury become a top five player next season.
But the conversation quickly took a turn when O’Shea mentioned Kawhi Leonard.
O’Shea Jackson, a die-hard Lakers fan said: “I can’t figure out why this happens to Anthony Davis, it’s so unlucky but he has played more games than Kawhi”. After which he got into a heated debate with TJ Jefferson who stated that Kawhi has more championships and finals MVPs than Anthony Davis.

O’Shea undermined Kawhi’s accomplishment by saying that Kawhi started his career with Gregg Popovich and the big three at the San Antonio Spurs and that he doesn’t watch the Los Angeles Clippers play.
Kawhi Leonard vs Anthony Davis
Kawhi Leonard is a two-time NBA champion (2014, 2019) and finals MVP in both of those wins, averaging 24.8 points in the regular season. He signed a $176 million four-year contract with the Clippers. Anthony Davis, who won a championship in 2020, averaging 23.8 points in the regular season, signed a five-year $196 million contract with the Lakers.
Both Kawhi Leonard and Anthony Davis had injury struggles this season, which was a leading factor to why their teams didn’t even make the playoffs. Anthony Davis missed 17 consecutive games and a total of 42 games this season and on the other hand, Kawhi Leonard was out for the whole season because of the fractured ACL that he suffered in the 2021 playoffs.
