On November 3rd, they took on yet another interesting team in Charlotte Hornets. With the duo of LaMelo Ball and Miles Bridges, the Hornets posed a decent challenge to the Warriors. And yet, the hosts won 114-92.

LaMelo Ball collides with Stephen Curry

In a close contest, the first half went to the Warriors, thanks to Jordan Poole. His red hot start covered for Stephen Curry being cold. However, even LaMelo Ball couldn’t get it going. It was Miles Bridges once again who made his impact on the game and kept the Hornets close.

With the Warriors holding the lead in the fourth, LaMelo tried to reduce the 9-point deficit. But, a collision with Stephen Curry saw him take a bad fall. As Melo came running side-by-side with Juan Toscano-Anderson, Curry stood in front of him like a wall and that led to LaMelo flying.

As the 20-YO grabbded his lower back (right side) in pain, the fans were not happy with Curry and took to twitter.

Fans reacted on the collision

Ball stayed on the floor for a while before getting up to take the free throws. Initially, it appeared like a major injury, but LaMelo fortunately got back on his feet. However, looking at this, fans were not pleased with the way Stephen approached the play.

Both point guards were having an off night. Curry could barely make his shots before the fourth quarter. Poole made a big impact, filling in for Curry on his off night. On the other hand, while Ball is coming off two great games in a row scoring over 25, tonight was different.

LaMelo’s stroke was off as he failed to sink in a single triple. However, both guards made their impacts on the playmaking side keeping their teammates active throughout. The Warriors’ defense propelled them to the win rather than their offensive show. Gary Payton II came up big time for the Bay racking up points and playing great on ball defense.
