Michael Jordan, after having one of the best careers in the NBA went on to invest his earnings into numerous businesses. One such decision made by the Chicago Bulls legend was to invest in the Charlotte Hornets. However, NBA buffs believe this decision from MJ is something he continues to regret. The Hornets’ loss to lottery rivals, Orlando Magic has got some fans slamming the six-time NBA champion. 

A video of MJ going through it during the game after his team went 22 points down to the Magic has gone viral. Fans seem to show harsh criticism toward the Hall of Famer for his “poor” ownership.

Making it to the playoffs seemed like a walk in the park for ‘His Airness‘. However, the case is not the same with Charlotte Hornets. After MJ became the majority owner of the team in 2010, the Hornets have made it to the playoffs only twice in the last 12 years. With constant changes and frequent injuries to the starters, the team has struggled to get a good winning streak this season. After their embarrassing loss to the Magic today, making the Playoffs would be nothing short of a miracle. The Magic defeated the Hornets 106-117 with their rookie Paolo Banchero scoring 31 points. 

Kelly Oubre Jr. and Terry Rozier’s 20+ point performances did not stop the Magic from bagging an easy win. Continuing their poor record, the Hornets stand as the 14th seed in the Eastern Conference with just 20 wins and 45 losses.

LaMelo Ball’s injury pushed Hornets fans into despair

Adding to the losing record, LaMelo Ball‘s ankle injury during their game against the Detroit Pistons has pushed fans to lose hope in the Hornets. After suffering a fracture in his ankle, the team announced the guard will not return this season.
