However, the same can’t be said about his personal life, as Big Diesel has made some questionable decisions over the years. Now, as a clever, mature man, Shaq came to terms and had a message for his younger self.

As one of the top athletes in the world, Shaq was extremely popular. However, the Big Diesel loves to have fun. He is always the life of the party. As a youngster, O’Neal was everywhere. He was always popular among women. However, while he conquered all his avenues, relationships haven’t been great for him.

As an individual, Shaq is stubborn and competitive. But an emotional Shaq was very honest in one of his podcast episodes. Revealing his flaws, the Hall of Famer had a message for his younger self.

It seems the Big Diesel is the same when it came to his personal life. Looking back at a young Shaq, he spoke about the one piece of advice he would give himself.

Shaq said: “I wish I was a better communicator. I wish I knew how to turn it off.” He continued saying, “While you are hurting, or you proceed to be hurting, you are hurting other people.”
