Shaquille O’Neal has had a thing for Rihanna for ages. In his recent podcast, he has again professed his undying love for the famous RnB star. Rihanna is, of course, one of the most popular singers in the world while Shaq is an ex-player who has maintained his profile.

Recently, his co-host Spice Adams asked whether he will change his surname for a woman who blows his feet off the ground. Shaq had only three names in his mind.

Shaq said, “I don’t want to name these people because they are married or having babies. Only if it was three certain people. I will change my name to James Hanna. I’ll let you figure out who that is.”

Nischelle Turner reminded Shaq that her actual name is Robyn Fenty. “So my name will be Frank Fenty,” responded O’Neal. The other names he gave were “Cornelius Berry” and “Thomas Theron”. Both were references to actresses, Halle Berry and Charlize Theron. Nischelle wondered where was Janet Jackson, his old favorite.

When Shaq asked Spice about doing it, the former NFL player straight-up rejected that notion. Even Nischelle Turner said that she might not like it in practice.

Shaquille O’Neal and his relationship with Shaunie

Shaquille O’Neal’s marriage with Shaunie ended in heartbreak for the former player. The former NBA legend has himself admitted numerous times that he was the reason why they broke up. O’Neal has expressed regret on this certain thing publicly.

He married Shaunie Nelson in 2002. She broke up with him in 2009. Subsequently, their divorce was finalised in 2011 where they cited irreconcilable differences. Since then, they have co-parented their kids and have been able to maintain a healthy relationship.

Shaquille O’Neal has talked about why this relationship broke up in multiple podcasts and interviews. He told the Pivot Podcast once, “I’ve never talked about this, and I’m glad you guys asked because I don’t mind talking about this, but I was bad. She was awesome. She was. It was all me.”

O’Neal continued, saying, “She did exactly what she was supposed to do and gave me beautiful kids, take care of the house, take care of the corporate stuff. It was just all me. Sometimes, when you make a lot of mistakes like that, you can’t come back from that”. She has recently remarried a pastor.
