Shaquille O’Neal and Shaunie formed one of the best couples in the league at one point of time. They tied the knot in 2002 when O’Neal dominated the league playing for the Los Angeles Lakers along with Kobe Bryant.

Shaunie filed for a divorce in 2009 with their split becoming official in 2011. Despite their split, the two share the responsibilities for their four children, Shareef, Amirah, Shaqir and Me’arah.

Interestingly enough, Shaq feels he was solely responsible for their split that made headlines all around the world. Talking on the Pivot Podcast, Shaq said, “It was just all me. Sometimes, when you make a lot of mistakes like that, you can’t really come back from that.”
