With Thanksgiving weekend on the way, tragic news broke from the state of Colorado. A gunman, who is now in custody, had attacked an LGBTQ nightclub named Club Q. Reports state that five people were killed while several were left injured. Supposedly, the prosecution and police are reportedly considering placing hate crime charges on the accused.

Charles Barkley condemns the horrifying act of violence

While talking about the incident, Charles Barkley first expressed condolences to those suffering. He continued to state that he is praying for them and their families. Barkley mentioned that some of his best friends are members of the LGBTQ+ community. He then extended a hand of compassion toward them. Barkley wanted them to know that he is thinking about them and expressed his love for them. He said, “I know their Thanksgiving is ruined.”

Barkley spoke about the other instances that involved mass shootings and hate crimes. Instantly, Johnson chimed in with his opinion. He stated that such crimes have become so prevalent that people are simply accepting whatever is happening. Johnson claimed that accepting is something that can’t or rather shouldn’t be done. Barkley added, “We need to do a better job policing hate speech.”
