It is funny how somebody could willingly ask for an invitation to go to their ex’s wedding. But that is just Shaquille O’Neal for you. But it is even more hilarious when the ex gives a befitting reply. Shaq shares a funny camaraderie with the mother of his children, Shaunie Henderson. Shaunie recently revealed how she shot the Big Diesel down when he asked her an uneasy question.

While promoting their new VH1 show “Shaunie and Keion’s Destination I Do”, Shaunie Henderson and her husband Pastor Keion Henderson, in a recent interview appearance, discussed Shaunie’s former husband NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal and his unique antics. Shaunie addressed the question that if Shaquille O’Neal had received an invite to their wedding. The executive producer of Basketball Wives admitted that the Big Diesel had indeed approached her at their daughter’s 16th birthday party.

Shaunie remembered how Shaq had asked her if he is invited to the wedding. She had replied sarcastically with an eye-roll, “Of course you are! I mean, but do you really have to come?” She chuckled remembering the exchange which she described as “banter”.

Shaunie further added that Shaquille O’Neal managed to get the courtesy invite. She said she was put on the spot as Shaq often does to others as well.

However, Shaq didn’t show up at the wedding. Because the Big Aristotle didn’t want to steal Shaunie’s thunder on her big day.

The three-part VH1 series will display the love story of Shaunie and Keion and their big day. The couple wanted to document their wedding for the purposes of showcasing love that is void of drama or toxicity.

Shaunie and Keoin said “I do” on the Anguilla islands. The two lovebirds fell in love with the island right away and knew they had to get hitched right there. In fact, the couple agreed that they have plans of retiring in the same place! Not only that, they even donated a park as part of their gratitude.
