NBA legend Charles Barkley is one of the wisest heads when it comes to basketball. However, the Hall of Famer’s ignorance of some topics and his nature of speaking his heart out has landed him in trouble more often than not. This has never discouraged him from giving his two cents on gripping issues around the world. Barkley, while on air with Ernie Johnson, discussed an interesting new update from one of the biggest murder suspects in American history.

Former NFL star OJ Simpson sent shockwaves across the whole country with his alleged involvement in a double murder in 1994. Years after that huge scandal, the 1973 NFL MVP posted a video commenting on a recent double murder! Barkley and millions around the world expressed their amusement over Simpson’s recent social media activities.

Two years ago, Margaret Murdaugh and her son were discovered dead on their South Carolina property. Alex Murdaugh, the father and husband of the deceased, was taken into custody and a long prosecution began. A few days ago, Alex Murdaugh was found guilty of the crime and interestingly, it seems OJ Simpson had predicted it!

Thousands of voices across the NBA mocked Simpson’s latest video, where he gave his ‘insight’ on the whole situation. Among them was Charles Barkley, who seemingly echoed the majority opinion.

During a segment on The Steam Room podcast, the Phoenix Suns legend chimed in on Simpson’s latest video. Barkley said, “OJ, stand down. Shut the f**k up, stand down, don’t comment on a double murder because you got away with it.”

Interestingly, Simpson had put out the video, as some people thought of him as an ‘expert’ on the subject!

Barkley once advised OJ Simpson on laying low

OJ Simpson was granted parole in 2017 after serving nine years in jail. When asked about his thoughts on Simpson’s situation, Barkley asserted that he should “lay low”. Interestingly, he also advised Simpson to take some off and enjoy golf while in Florida.

Barkley is a known golf aficionado and has hilarious stories surrounding the game. However, it appeared that he would not play a round with Simpson if the former NFL player decided to visit the golf course someday.
