On Wednesday night, the Dallas Mavericks hosted the Atlanta Hawks. At the end of the final buzzer, the Hawks managed to bag an eight-point victory – thereby extending their winning streak. This victory was led by Trae Young’s 18 points and Dejounte Murray’s 30 points. Like almost every game this season, Luka Doncic led the way for the Mavs with 30 points and 8 assists, but his efforts were in vain. With that said, Luka’s father Sasa Doncic sat on the sidelines for this game, and unbeknownst to him, he gave NBA fans a good laugh online.

During the game, the camera panned toward Sasa Doncic. Sasa looked serious while watching his son on the court. But his expression and posture reminded Emmy-winning director Jason Gallagher of a character from a Disney movie. The character he thought of was Mr. Incredible from the movie ‘The Incredibles’. He posted a picture of Sasa Doncic in the Incredibles outfit and paired it with the caption “Wait a minute”, leaving NBA fans in splits.

Post-game reactions from the coaches

While Doncic tried to take control of the narrative, he received help from Spencer Dinwiddie’s 20 and Christian Wood’s 22 points respectively. However, as head coach Jason Kidd claimed, the Mavs were short on both ends of the court.

According to ESPN, he said, “Until we put in a better effort into defense and understanding what we have to do, then we’re going to score 120 but we’re going to give 130, 140.”

On the other hand, Hawks coach Nate McMillian was impressed with his team’s performance. He spoke about the teamwork between Murray and Young and claimed that this is what the team was rooting for. He said, “Trae did a good job, understanding that [Murray] had a hot hand, was feeling it, and was in a rhythm and we tried to milk that.”
