The 2023 NBA All-Star game is less than two weeks away, and things could be looking better for the Western Conference team. Headed by Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James, the team’s starters included Stephen Curry, Nikola Jokic, Zion Williamson, and Luka Doncic. While the roster looks rigid as a nail, it was announced that Steph will most probably miss out on the All-Star Game. The Golden State Warriors superstar recently suffered a leg injury against the Dallas Mavericks. To make matters worse, recent reports revealed that another starting player exited the team due to injury.

Things are the similar for the Eastern Conference team too. Led by Giannis Antetokounmpo, the team’s lineup includes Jayson Tatum, Kyrie Irving, Donovan Mitchell, and Kevin Durant. Unfortunately, KD will not be participating in the Game either. This is due to the MCL sprain he sustained during the Game against the Miami Heat on January 8.

As per reports by Andrew Lopez of ESPN, New Orleans Pelicans forward star Zion Williamson will not be part of the Western Conference starters. Williamson had to take time off from the court after he sustained a hamstring injury during the Game against the Philadelphia 76ers. Pelicans coach Willie Green informed that the 22-year-old NBA star will remain on the sidelines for at least two more games. Additionally, Williamson will also miss his first-ever All-Star Game as a starter.

Ever since Williamson entered the league, he has gained a reputation as an injury-prone player. The first overall pick from the 2019 NBA Draft previously missed the entire 2021-22 campaign due to injury. Williamson is currently averaging 26.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 4.6 assists.
