There has been a lot of attention drawn to a video showing a fan trolling Ben Simmons at a mall on Wednesday. The NBA star player’s social media presence was flooded with positive reactions. At the beginning of the season, it was hard to see Simmons’s role in either the Brooklyn Nets or the Philadelphia 76ers.
It was back in the day that he was traded from the 76ers to the Nets. Simmons was traded in a blockbuster deal that netted James Harden for the 76ers. In the 2016 draft, Simmons was selected first overall. As a result of his trade to the Nets, he played for the second team in his career so far.

The 76ers were his only team after the draft. Going through his achievements, he was voted into the NBA All-Star Game for all three seasons he played with the 76ers. Although he is just 26 years old, he has made his name in the NBA over the course of this time. This can be seen by the reaction on social media after the incident.

In addition, he averaged 15.9 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 7.7 assists per game throughout his career. As the upcoming season approaches, Nets fans are expecting big things from the team.
An unknown troll compared Ben Simmons with Russell Westbrook
The 2021-22 season was pretty successful for them as far as performance goes. A seventh seed was assigned to them in the Eastern Conference.
Despite that, their performance against the Boston Celtics was not as anticipated. Due to the way the Nets performed last season, the incident might cause a backlash. Fans were furious and backed Simmons as he was hounded in a mall and repeatedly called Russell Westbrook.
