The NBA trade deadline is closer than ever and teams are shuffling through options to strengthen their roster before the playoffs. The next stage of the season has just arrived and the teams are in a do-or-die stage. This means that the teams that are in playoff contention would like to hold their positions and aim for the postseason. All these efforts have prompted to the newest rumor of a trade involving Kyrie Irving and the Dallas Mavericks. A rumor which has fans blowing up social media with their heated opinions.

According to latest reports, the Brooklyn Nets are looking at their best options to trade Kyrie Irving after the 30-year-old star’s request. While the union of Irving and Luka Doncic seems like a major gamble, fans have clearly stated their preference with a big ‘NO’ on social media.
Fans do not love the idea of Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic together after recent trade rumors
According to a few recent reports, the trade deadline might get spicy as the Nets could look to take in Spencer Dinwiddie and Dorian Finney-Smith from the Dallas Mavericks in exchange for Kyrie Irving. However, there’s a slight issue with the Mavericks front-office. According to other reports, they do not believe that the Kyrie Irving-Luka Doncic pairing is the best thing for the Dallas side right now.
Fans seem to agree with their assessment as they came in hoards to explicitly mention how it was a bad idea.

It is evident to even the naked eye that Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic are extremely different personalities. Additionally, fans are concerned about Doncic’s young and impressionable age. But some consider the assumption that it would affect their game for the team debatable.?
If the trade really goes through, fans might have something exciting to look for in the season, as Irving is in exceptional form. Since his return to the team, the Nets superstar has been exceptional and his performances speak for themselves.
Kyrie Irving’s domination after his return to the squad
In 40 games, the Nets no. 11 is averaging 27.1 PPG. An exceptional effort from him, considering the mental stress from all of his controversies earlier in the season. People might not agree with his opinions but they cannot deny his incredible performance on the court.
His teammate Kevin Durant praised his efforts, as he went on to describe his performances as a “Film study“. It was in response to Irving dropping 48 points against the Utah Jazz.
