Michael Jordan was one of the most competitive players of all time. Many memes of him saying “I took that personally” also had gone viral recently. Although people were just trying to joke with that meme, it just showed how little it took to make MJ be competitive. Many of his co-teammates and opponents had experienced this, but there was someone else too who experienced this.

Eminem is one of the biggest celebrity rappers of all time. The raps sung by him are not only liked by his fans but they also jam to it all the time. But, Eminem had no direct relation with basketball whatsoever. Now, what if you come to know Eminem had offended a basketball player? And, not just any basketball player, the greatest one of them of all times.

Everyone knows how little it takes to bring out the competitive side of Michael Jordan. Even Eminem knew this before he spoke to MJ. But, he didn’t know what many people did. What might seem like an innocent joke to you isn’t a joke for Jordan. Eminem once shared a story of his conversation with MJ. He said that how he believes that his making a joke made a deal almost fall apart with ‘Air Jordan.’

So, Eminem was looking for a possible shoe collaboration with the Bulls legend. The conversation with Michael was also going well and all. Everything went well until the end of the call. Before cutting the call, Eminem cracked what he thought was an innocent joke.
Eminem asked Michael Jordan when he would be coming to Detroit so that Eminem could dunk on him. That was it. The rapper just remembers that MJ might have gotten off the phone call with a laugh. But he knew that he had done something huge. He said, “It was one of those things that in my head just it would be so ridiculous, he has to know I am joking. But when I got off the phone, I remember thinking, ‘I don’t think he knew I was joking.’ ‘Cause you know, he’s very competitive,”
