“Don’t Waste Money on Cars”: Calling Shaquille O’Neal’s Obsession “Stupid”, Charles Barkley Blames $16 Billion Worth Co for His “Worst Purchase”

The Lakers legend’s whopping luxury car collection is one of the key aspects of his King-sized life. Exotic cars from brands such as Lamborghini, Rolls Royce, Mercedes, Cadillac, and so on find a place in the former MVP’s garage. Like Shaq, many NBA stars are known for their love for cars. Despite the popularity of luxury cars among the NBA royalty, an NBA star has recently revealed that he is not a fan of exotic cars.

Though many NBA legends are known for their entrepreneurship and wise investments, they don’t mind spending enormous sums on luxury cars. However, former MVP Charles Barkley begs to differ. And it seems like he does not want to spend money on luxury cars anymore.

Though it is not an obsession for Charles Barkley, he did buy some popular sports cars. However, Sir Charles now regrets his decision to spend money on cars.

In the latest episode of the ‘Jennifer Hudson Show,’ featuring Charles Barkley, Jennifer asked Barkley what his worst purchase was. The 11x NBA All-Star proceeded to name a $16 billion company’s product. “A Porsche, early in my career,” Chuck said. He continued, “Cars are stupid, you don’t waste money on cars, that’s just stupid.”

When the host told him that she loves cars, Barkley replied, “No no no, you don’t waste money on cars. You know I bought about two Porsches and then I realized that they make you go fast, that’s certain cars you have to drive fast. Yeah so like in my life now I have a Kia. It just gets me from A to B, I am just trying to get from A to B.”

Chuck’s investment advises

Charles Barkley does not think he needs a sports car anymore because he is already popular. This is a lesson that Sir Charles learned from the legendary Julius Erving a.k.a Dr. J. Barkley often passes this lesson on to fellow young players. The Round Mound of Rebound insists that young NBA stars invest their money in fruitful ventures.

He also stresses that it is very important for the stars to give back to the community. Investments or charity are fine for Sir Charles, but he despises luxury cars and commutes from A to B in his Kia.
