Golden State Warriors seem to be in a slump at the moment. Since the start of the year, the Warriors have just not looked the same. They were competing for the number 1 seed with the Phoenix Suns and now they are currently in the third spot. The absence of Draymond Green did hurt them, but they have just not been playing good basketball.

And it became worse for the Warriors on Monday as they lost to the Orlando Magic. The Magic have been one of the worst teams in the league and they beat the Warriors 94-90. The Warriors did not have Stephen Curry, but they did have Klay Thompson and Draymond Green. This was one of the worst losses of the season and their leader, Draymond Green, did not mince his words after the defeat.

Draymond Green says the Warriors lost to one of the worst teams in the league

In the post-game press conference, Green did not hold back. He said, “We’re playing soft. We’re playing stupid. We’re just not playing good basketball and we’re getting punked.”

“No disrespect to the Orlando Magic, but that’s one of the worst teams in the league. We can’t match that with them. And if you can’t match that with them, you definitely can’t match that going against a great team.”

The Magic have lost more than 50 games this season and they have the third-worst record in the West. Even though the Warriors did not have Curry, they had enough depth and firepower to trounce the Magic. But that wasn’t the case this time.

With only 10 games in the season and Curry out for another two weeks, the Warriors will need to step it up or they can drop to fifth or sixth in the West. There is also a chance they drop to the play in the tournament. The Warriors have been excellent until injuries hit them, and they would not want to be a play-in team. And their schedule is also tough.
