Draymond Green Provides Vital Advice to Luka Doncic’s Mavericks That Could Be Instrumental vs Chris Paul’s Suns

The Dallas Mavericks will go against the Phoenix Suns in a pivotal game four clash. The winner of this game may well win the whole series. After going down two games to zero, the Mavs showcased their defensive strength and won the game three with a score of 103-94. Now, even with Luka Doncic performing other-worldly, Dallas will need its role players to fire on all cylinders.
And it looks like they are getting help from an unexpected source. Draymond Green, on his podcast, previewed the game and gave some vital advice to Dallas. According to him, “When Dallas has to release is that when they have Chris Paul tamed, when they have Devin Booker under wrap, they have to take advantage of those leads……they have to build the lead-up and can’t just sit around because Devin will hit shots and at some point Chris Paul will take over games”.

Draymond Green is a three-time NBA Champion and has even won the Defensive Player of the Year award in 2017. When he gives advice, it carries weight. As Chris Paul showed us during the sixth game of the first-round series when he went 14 of 14 from the field, when he takes over a game he is unstoppable.

And the same things go for Devin Booker too. He is the Sun’s go-to guy in tough situations. If Dallas can keep a check on both of them, they need to capitalize.
A lot more riding on than just a western Semi-Final
This is the first time that Dallas has gotten out of the first round with Luka. They need to capitalize on this run to see the ceiling of the current roster before the uncertainty of the offseason sets in.

For the Suns, their urgency to win now is even more extreme. With Chris Paul turning 37 just days ago, they don’t know for how long can CP3 continue to perform on such levels and they need to maximize every year they get with him. Going out in the second round will be considered a failure for a squad that was the number one seed.
