Draymond Green Sends Hilarious Message to Rapper Drake

After a tough couple of years, Draymond Green and the Golden State Warriors will look to bounce back in the NBA 2021-22 season. Green in particular, has been battling fitness issues. Recently however, the veteran is coming off of a phenomenal international campaign with Team USA at the Olympics. Having clinched gold at Tokyo, the Warriors stars will be raring to go.
Going back to 2019, there was an incident in the NBA Finals revolving around Green. At the other end of the clash, was world-famous rapper and musician Drake. The duo had a small altercation in Game-1 of the Raptors vs Warriors finals, but it ended in good spirits. After Drake’s recent success in the world of music, the Golden State power-forward took no time to praise the Canadian.

Warriors’ Draymond Green lauds Drake’s dominance in Billboard charts
Recently, the Billboard released its ‘Hot-100’ list of songs. The top-10 of the list saw some top notch songs. Shockingly, nine out of the ten songs in the top-10 were songs of Drake. The 34-year-old artist is a big name going around, and is one of the most widely listened-to artists in the world. His performance is now one of the most dominant weeks in the history of Billboard. At the top of the list, was hit number ‘Way 2 S*xy’.

Responding to the superstar’s impeccable week, 31-year-old Green made a hilarious remark to showcase the dominance of Drake. In a social media story, the former NBA champion lauded Drake. He said, “At this point you can only go back to Toronto, start over, and see if you can make it back to the top @champagnepapi [Drake].” It was a befitting remark to congratulate a phenomenal artist in Drake.

Drake has undoubtedly shown why he is regarded as one of the best in the music world. He is on a purple patch at the moment, producing hit after hit. Meanwhile, Draymond Green and the Warriors kick-off their NBA campaign with the pre-season games that begin in the first week of October.
