Green requested to miss part of his road trip from his coach and teammates to witness LeBron James breaking the all-time scoring record earlier held by Kareem Abdul Jabbar. 

Green’s request to miss part of the Warriors’ road trip to attend LeBron James’ record-breaking game was ultimately denied by Steve Kerr, who believed that Green’s presence with the team was necessary to set a good example for his teammates. Despite Green’s desire to watch the historic game in person, he chose to follow his coach’s decision and remained committed to his team’s playoff aspirations.
