The off season serves as a great opportunity for players to furnish their skills. It also allows them to work on their personal fitness. Likewise, Celtics’ Jayson Tatum made most use of the off season to come in stronger. His comparisons to the previous seasons clearly show the size the All-Star guard has added on over the summer. A fellow All-Star had a hilarious reaction looking at his transformation.

Jayson Tatum to be drug tested?

Recently, photos comparing Tatum’s rookie season and his current shape came out. He visibly looks a lot bigger than before. While most had praise for the All-Star, Donovan Mitchell took the opportunity to joke around. He said that Tatum should expect a drug test coming his way really soon. Tatum responded to Mitchell, saying that is how things work.

This comes from the fact that the league has been extremely strict when it comes to testing their players. Even the smallest surprises lead to a drug test from the league the very next day. Notably, when Danny Green was on the Lakers, he finished a put back dunk in a game. He then revealed that the league ordered a drug test because he generally did not dunk.

Looking at these events, Mitchell asked Tatum to be on the lookout for a drug test coming his way. With all that aside, his transformation has been very impressive. He looked extremely good in preseason and the muscle hasn’t hampered his jump shot either.

With a change in rule coming in over foul calls, this additional muscle could serve as a major advantage. This is because it will be necessary for Jayson Tatum to be able to absorb contact much more now. He already had the ability to finish strong, but now with the muscle, it will only make it better. Hence, we can expect yet another big year for Tatum.
