After the Kyrie situation with the Nets had just simmered down, came the news that superstar Kevin Durant had also requested a trade. What was unique about Kevin’s situation was that just last season he had signed a 4 year $196 million contract extension with the Nets. This news came as a shock to many people. During mid-season, the Nets traded disgruntled player, James Harden, for Ben Simmons. Simmons is the former number one overall pick of the 2016 NBA Draft. But Ben never suited up for the Nets due to many medical issues.
