After a fantastic performance in the 2022-23 NBA season, the Memphis Grizzlies had a disappointing end to the year. The Grizzlies were comprehensively beaten in the first round of the Playoffs by the Los Angeles Lakers. Even though the Grizzlies had an excellent record in the season, the team faced multiple off-court issues, primarily surrounding their star, Ja Morant. Morant finds himself in deep waters once again after a new clip of the 23-year-old star displaying a firearm went viral. Analysts and fans have already started berating the Grizzlies star and a former Lakers center didn’t hold back on 2x NBA All-Star.

However, Morant has now been caught doing the same thing yet again as he got suspended from all team activities by the Grizzlies’ front office, pending league review. This led former Los Angeles Lakers center Kwame Brown to go off on Morant. In a video uploaded online, Brown was visibly frustrated with Morant. He started off with, ?So Ja Morant, you like to play with guns, huh, boy? You like to play with guns.?

?So, instead of you just being in your house, buying all the guns you want, playing with all the guns you want off camera, you want to get in trouble for having a gun at a club, give a bullsh*t apology and then show a gun on Instagram Live,”?Brown said.

?I?ve heard of NBA Youngboy but you NBA dumb boy. You got to be the dumbest m*****f***er in the league. You got $231 Million promised to you and you wanna be a f*****g thug?? added Brown. The former Lakers player wasn’t done there, as he kept berating Morant and his actions. This wasn’t the first time Morant has been involved in a controversy.

Morant’s history of questionable actions

A few days before the start of the postseason, the Grizzlies star flashing a gun on IG Live led to his suspension. Then there was another incident outside the Indiana Pacers arena. According to witnesses, a laser appeared out of Morant?s car which was pointed towards the victims. And it was claimed that the laser was most likely attached to a gun leading to a one-year ban of Morant?s brother from Grizzlies home games.
