In the midst of all the marquee signings that the Los Angeles Lakers have made, the return of Dwight Howard has gone relatively unnoticed. The veteran will join hands with LeBron James and the other stalwarts this year. He is very committed, and always does what’s best for his side. And now, a revelation further proves this claim.

After a year away from Los Angeles, the 35-year-old returned for his third stint with the yellow and purple. He is now part of a Frank Vogel managed side that has heaps of experience. Being an 8-time NBA All-star and a former champion, Howard knows who and what it takes to win. The star apparently tried convincing a player to join his setup. The obvious answer would be a youngster, considering the average age of the Lakers is well over the 30 mark. On the contrary, the requested player will surprise many.
