Even post his NBA career, Michael Jordan endures as an inspiration to millions around the globe. NBA fans often compare Jordan to current other NBA legends in GOAT debates. This rivalry has trickled into NBA players’ conversations too. Recently, a former player commented on the GOAT debate that included Jordan.

Former NBA star Dwyane Wade mentioned Jordan and Kareem Abdul Jabbar as he referred to the GOAT debate. Wade lamented that younger generations would eventually forget Jordan as the GOAT. He compared the situation to current generations, disregarding Kareem’s contribution to the NBA.

Wade said, “Yes it does. I mean like, of course. These GOATs, these names that we throw out, it’s not gonna just be a lot of those players. But the game continues to keep moving forward. And so we are gonna continue to see things that we have never seen before. And the eyes are gonna get younger and younger.”
