Whether it is on the basketball court or in the business world, Shaquille O’Neal is a force to be reckoned with. He is one of the most dominant players the NBA has ever seen. Not only is he responsible for bringing the Los Angeles Lakers a plethora of championships, but also has a big hand in, literally and figuratively, breaking the backboards of the basket with his monstrous dunks.

On his 49th Birthday, some people have dropped wishes for the big man.

Shaquille O’Neal entered the realm of basketball through LSU. It wasn’t until his sophomore year that his offense started to create an impact. Following his footsteps is his son, Shareef O’Neal, who is also playing basketball at LSU and might continue with the legacy Shaq has built over the years.

However, on his special day, Shareef couldn’t help but share some hilarious and emotional memories with his idol. He posted a video of them wrestling, along with a throwback picture of Shareef as a kid on the court. He also posted something we are all familiar with- Shaq’s incredible moves. Remember his dance-off with LeBron James and Dwight Howard in the 2007 All-Star Game?

In this video, Shaq is holding a gigantic music system and jamming to some music. His birthday definitely would have been incomplete without the world having to see this. He also wrote, “Happy bday pops ! Love you so much. my dad and one of my best friends.”

Other players who wished Shaquille O’Neal

Other than that, Portland Trail Blazers‘ Enes Kanter also wished Shaq on Twitter. Further, there was also a wish from Jeanie Buss, the owner of the Lakers.

The best wish was from his former teammate from Miami Heat, Dwyane Wade. Along with a picture of their time together in Miami, he wrote, “My Big Brother was Beans brother. Played with the greatest Big Man to ever play in my eyes. Happy Birthday Brother!”

As O’Neal turns 49, he remains connected to the game as an analyst. He is also as vocal as he was about his opinions as a player back then, and fans respect him for it. The four-time NBA Champion can to date challenge any young player and still come out the winner.
