It’s an absolute privilege for someone to interact with their idols, but Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade took it up a notch – he pulled his idol’s leg on stage. An entire generation of NBA superstars grew up idolizing Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan. Moreover, Jordan is one of the toughest characters in the league. However, D Wade still managed to take a sly dig at His Airness. He recently drew attention to the hilarious moment by sharing it on his social media.
Wade and Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James entered the league in the same year and proved themselves to be generational talents. Moreover, the 3x NBA Champion Wade is all set to be inducted into the NBA Hall of Fame this year. Notably, the legend has himself risen up to the point where several current NBA stars now idolize him.

Dwyane Wade recently took his Instagram story and shared a video of him having a go at the NBA legend on stage. The Instagram story also carried a small message, flaunting his privilege. It read, “Who gets to talk a little shit to their basketball idol,” with a flurry of laughing emojis. While the location and date of the incident is unclear, the video featured the two legends, sitting on a stage with a sneaker on their hands and dressed up in suits.
In the video, Wade said, “I think Michael retired the year before I came into the league, strategically.” The brief pause before uttering the word ‘strategically’ prompted the crowd to burst out laughing.

Wade also shared another MJ memory
In one of the recent episodes of Headliners, D-Wade revealed one of his closest memories of Michael Jordan during his rookie season. When Wade got drafted by the Heat, he celebrated the night with his friends and cousins at a party. The evening took a surprising turn when he met Jordan sitting outside on a bike, restricted from entering the party.
The Heat legend described the situation as, “Michael Jordan is sitting right there on one of the motorcycles. I walked right up to him. It was like seeing a ghost.” Clearly, despite having played in the highest league in the country, the fascination for His Airness never stops among fans!
