If there is one thing people know about Mark Cuban is that he is a loud personality. The owner of the Dallas Mavericks is a business tycoon and most famous for his role as an investor on the TV show Shark Tank. Regardless of his many businesses exploits Mark is a common feature in the NBA. A Mavericks fan himself, of course, Cuban is always on the attack, whether towards the opposition or the referees.

The billionaire recently found himself feuding with Joe Rogan and Elon Musk on twitter, claiming they were “bullies”. But before his twitter war with the two, he found himself in a similar spot 8 years ago with a veteran coach.

During the free agency in 2015, one of the most sought-after players was then-Clippers center Deandre Jordan. A to-be free agent that year, DJ was tempted to test newer pastures. This caught the attention of Mark Cuban who sent Chandler Parsons to convince DJ to join him and Dirk at Dallas. While Mark felt he had done enough to convince Jordan, Clippers head coach Doc Rivers had other ideas.

Deandre never made it to Dallas and that left a sour taste. Cuban immediately attacked Jordan on Twitter deeming he owed him an explanation. This prompted Doc Rivers to reply, which he did in a grand fashion. The head coach set up a press tour and went straight for the billionaire as he believed Deandre didn’t owe him any explanation about his decision.

The two went back and forth for months even going on TV shows to voice their discontent of towards one another. As the final straw after Cuban went on Cowherd’s show, Doc called him out a final time for a 1-on-1 cage match and invited people to watch.

While there wasn’t a concrete end to the animosity between the two, they had much bigger problems.
