Jaylen Brown is one of the dynamic duo of the Boston Celtics. Along with Jayson Tatum, he had led Boston to their second Eastern Conference Finals in two years. Currently, the series is all squared up at 3-3 with Game seven of the series. The last time these two teams met in the playoffs, was in the Orlando bubble. And Jaylen might have not even gone to the bubble to play, if not for this family member.

In an old interview with talk show host Ellen, Jaylen talked about how his grandfather motivated him to play in the bubble. Jaylen introduced his grandfather by saying, “He is like the toughest guy I have ever met by the way … I gotta introduce him he is like a superhero.” Jaylen continued, “He is been to the Vietnam War, he has been shot in the head twice, he has had heart attacks, cancer, covid all at the same time and has beaten it all.”

When talking about his grandfather’s chemotherapy, Jaylen said, “Yeah, he just said he was done.. he said he was tired and how I convinced him was that I would go done there and play(Orlando Bubble) but you gotta play too.. so he liked the sound of that an signed up.” He concluded it by saying “He is doing now.. he is doing great.” See the video below –

Celtics – The next possible dynasty?

Celtics have one thing in the league which every team desires. Two young blue-chip players who can score and defend at a great level. In Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum, the Celtics have exactly that and more. Players like Marcus Smart and Al Horford have also helped a lot.

Horford is a proven veteran. Smart is the reigning Defensive Player of the year. With a brilliant young coach in Ime Udoka, the sky is the limit for them. They have a good mixture of old vets and young role players. If they win against Miami on Sunday, it will be the franchise’s first NBA Finals in a decade.
