As it is all over the news, Elon Musk recently purchased the social media platform Twitter. Musk paid a whopping $44 billion for it. And has had new plans to take the platform to the next level. One of them is that users will have to pay an $8 amount for the blue tickmark to keep their account verified on Twitter. Although, Dallas Mavericks owner and fellow billionaire Mark Cuban had other thoughts regarding Musk’s plans.

Cuban suggested that Musk offered his $8 verification program for free. But only to those who he deems as the most accurate contributors.

This started when Musk tweeted, “Twitter needs to become by far the most accurate source of information about the world. That’s our mission.” Notably, former CEO and co-founder of Twitter Jack Dorsey replied with: “Accurate to who,” on Musk’s tweet.

Musk quickly replied by sending out another tweet that read, “As judged by the people of Twitter via Community Notes (formerly Birdwatch).” And that is where Mark Cuban suggested that Musk offered his service for free.

The Mavericks owner tweeted, “You might consider proactively offering your $8 verification program for free to those you deem the most accurate Notes contributors. Won’t be easy to confirm accuracy.  But if AI can try to model out bias, maybe it can model in accuracy ?”

And Musk was quick to shut down Cuban with a three-word tweet that said: “$8 for all.”

Cuban was all praise for Elon Musk before his Twitter takeover. He predicted that Musk will “make a killing” after his acquisition of the social media platform. Since Musk’s takeover, he has fired multiple employees at Twitter.
