Young Los Angeles Lakers star Talen Horton-Tucker had an emotional game against the Sacramento Kings recently. Tucker had a fantastic outing as his grandfather made a special appearance during the game to mark his birthday.

He had the perfect birthday present in store as Tucker helped his team gather a win over the Sacramento Kings.

THT stars as a guest join the courtside

It is truly a very special moment when a family member watches a player play. Talen Horton-Tucker’s grandfather decided to celebrate his birthday watching his grandson wear the Lakers jersey.

The Lakers shooting guard gave his grandfather the perfect birthday present as he guided a struggling Lakers to a much-needed win. Tucker talked about his feelings regarding the match during the post-match interview. 

When asked about his bad run of form recently, THT replied, “I feel like my confidence never left me at all… I feel like that’s how I got to this point now, it never, ever went anywhere.”

He also talked about the special guest watching over him during the match. Tucker had a very witty answer regarding the same.

Talen Horton-Tucker mentioned during the interview, “I try to treat every game the same. So I guess every game is my grandpa’s birthday, I guess.

How has Talen Horton-Tucker been this season?

Talented youngster Tucker has been a part of the Los Angeles Lakers since 2019. He became a regular rotational player during the 2020-21 season.

This season the Lakers have been disappointing, to say the least. They are currently in the 7th spot in the western conference, and getting a playoff spot might not be impossible, it certainly will not be easy.

Talen Horton-Tucker averages 10.4 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game this season. During the Lakers matchup against the Sacramento Kings, he registered 19 points in 33 minutes. His play also involved 4 rebounds and 6 assists as he helped his team to a crucial win.
