A fan was given a chance to win $75,000 if he could successfully make a half-court short. Of course, no one expected that he would be able to make it, but he proved everyone wrong.

As soon as he made the shot, the entire arena bowled over and cheered for Michael Drysch, who was 50 years old at that time. Not only did he win the huge prize money, but he also received a crushing hug from King James himself. After he made the shot, fans erupted in cheers for him, whereas LeBron James dashed to the court and tackled Drysch to the ground. The former Heat player hugged Drysch and congratulated the lucky fan for the impressive shot.

Expressing his disbelief, James later said, “That was awesome, man…I was excited for him. When he wound up like that, I was like, ‘Oh no, there?s no way.’ And then when I saw it in the air, I was like, ?Oh, that?s got a chance.? I was happy to be a part of that.”

“Ecstatic. Euphoric. Wonderful. I put some spin on it. Nice way to meet somebody. I can’t believe it.” responded Drysch when asked how he was feeling.
