Shaquille O’Neal is undoubtedly one of the most dominant players. During his time in the NBA, he unlocked opposition defenses at will and won several accolades in the process. He has 4 NBA titles alongside other individual awards. Thanks to his 7-foot-1 inch frame, he was usually the tallest player every time he stepped on time.

To maintain a physique like Shaq, one needs to eat a lot. While many might think that O’Neal eats unhealthy, considering it has been a long time since he retired from the NBA, they are wrong. Shaq eats a very healthy breakfast that includes everything needed to keep him going all day. 

Interestingly enough, this was revealed by his ex-girlfriend, Laticia Rolle. During an interview, she talked about what she prepares every day for her “7 ft beast.” She said, “We make him happy, that’s the key to life. Make him unhappy, that’s it!” Laticia prepares a meal of healthy pancakes alongside an omelet of egg whites and other egg whites.

Shaquille O’Neal had junk food during his playing days

Although Shaquille O’Neal might have a healthy eating routine currently, this was not the case during his playing days. During an interview, Shaq revealed his outrageous eating routine before and after games.

He said, “Mountain Dew and Red Bull. Before the game, I always had to have a turkey club sandwich with extra mayo and two pineapple sodas. After the game, win or lose, I got a chicken sandwich and macaroni.”

Safe to say, Shaq has a special love for chicken sandwiches. He launched a franchise named Big Chicken Shaq that has dishes curated by the 4 time NBA champion himself. The franchise is based in Las Vegas and is looking to expand across the country. Arizona is one of the locations O’Neal and his team are looking to expand to. According to reports, plans are to open 12 Big Chicken Shaq in Arizona itself.
