Dennis Rodman, the NBA legend, was a very rare breed of player who could perform on any day, regardless of his physical and mental condition. The five-time NBA champion had a famous run with the Chicago Bulls, winning three championships in his three seasons for the Chicago side. But, he never disappointed teams even before his Bulls’ stint. The five-time NBA Champion won two Championship rings with the Detroit Pistons.

Back in 1993, Rodman was asked about a certain incident that happened on-court. And he came up with a response that was fitting of the legendary basketball player.

Back in 1993, Rodman was allegedly asked about the time when he was playing against the Washington Bullets and Darrell Walker spat on the then NBA superstar and missed. The then Spurs player talked about that incident differently than expected.

The then 32-year-old reportedly said he wished the spit did not miss him, as he would wipe it off with his jersey and get “pumped up”.

The reply clearly signifies the mentality of the NBA Hall of Famer, as he had his fair share of hardships in his life, making him stronger.  The pain made the NBA legend keep away complacency as he was putting in his best effort.

The Chicago Bulls legend has been a champion on and off-court not paying heed to what others say, as he famously answered the question of ‘Why?’ with Because I don’t give a damn”.
