Ex NBA Star Slams Billionaire “Fake Tough Guy” Elon Musk

Ever since billionaire Elon Musk took over Twitter, he has been criticized by many for some of the abrupt changes he made to the social platform. After Musk took charge, the company laid off thousands of employees all over the world. Many called the SpaceX CEO out for this. Furthermore, there were some recent changes to Twitter which ended its ban on Covid-19 misinformation which received some slack. Now, former NBA star Rex Chapman has slammed Musk on Twitter for a different reason altogether.

Chapman was drafted by the Charlotte Hornets in 1988 and played in the league for over 12 years. Chapman has more than 1.2 million followers on Twitter and also hosts his podcast The Rex Chapman Show.

Rex Chapman recently took to Twitter to challenge its CEO Elon Musk to a discussion on his podcast about something interesting. Apparently, Chapman’s Twitter account is not displayed in the list of results when the name Rex Chapman is searched from the search bar. Chapman was not happy about this happening despite his huge following.

Chapman wrote on Twitter, Hey @elonmusk how about you come on my podcast so we can discuss why my account doesn’t come up on a Twitter search using my name? Or are you too much of a chickenshit coward? I’ve dunked on fake tough guys like you all my life. Can you take a charge?

The tweet now has garnered more than 1.9 million views and 170000 likes. Interestingly, many commented that Chapman’s claims are true after trying to search for his profile.

Chapman is not the only former NBA player to call out Musk. NBA All-Time Great Kareem Abdul-Jabbar has called him out multiple times. The Los Angeles Lakers legend was not happy with the site’s decision to end the ban on Covid misinformation. Abdul-Jabbar felt it could be a dangerous decision that could harm many lives around the world.

Many celebrities have recently deleted their Twitter account for various reasons. While the platform offers many things to its users, one of the most important things fans love about Twitter is the ability to interact with superstars. So the news of multiple superstars leaving the platform is a huge blow for the company.
