NBA Legend Shaquille O’Neal’s ex-wife Shaunie Nelson made an appearance on ‘Basketball Live’. She talked about how it feels to be married to a superstar and their marriage. And seeing that, this made Shaquille O’Neal self-reflect on the mistakes that cost him his marriage.

Notably, Shaq and Shaunie married each other in 2002, and they were in a relationship even before that. Each had a child from their previous marriage, and the couple went on to have four more children. They were married for nearly ten years before they filed for divorce. They tried to work it out a few times but they found their separation would be the best.

Shaquille O’Neal says the marriage ended because of his mistakes

Shaunie had made an appearance on ‘Basketball Wives’, and seeing that Shaq had a few confessions. He called himself a “d—head” and he regretted not taking care of his marriage at the time. Per Fox News, Shaquille O’Neal said, “You don’t know how good you got something ‘til it’s gone…Sometimes when you live that double life, you get caught up.I’m not going to say it was her. It was all me.”

“She was awesome. She really was. It was all me.”
