NBA legend Michael Jordan‘s former teammate John Salley recently talked about Kanye West during a podcast appearance. In the past few months. Kanye sparked a lot of controversy with his statements. Because of this, he received a huge backlash and lost some of his major endorsement deals and partnerships including Adidas. He then lost his billionaire status as well. However, that did not stop Ye who continued to make controversial statements. He even locked horns with NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal at one point.

Rapper Pusha T was a close friend of Kanye West and was also the President of West’s G.O.O.D Music label. However, he recently cut his ties with Ye and resigned as President.

John Salley compared Kanye West to Cersei

John Salley recently made an appearance on the Vlad TV podcast where he talked about Kanye West. The host and the four-time NBA champion talked about Pusha T cutting ties with Ye. Salley suggested West has to fact-check things with his crew before making a statement. The host then stated that he does not have a very good crew. He added Nick Fuentes who made a controversial statement about women voting is now in West’s crew. The host then suggested that Ye constantly changes people around him every few months and the new crew affects him differently as he adopts the thought patterns of the people around him.

He then added that he wouldn’t interview Ye. The Detroit Pistons legend said that he can’t wait to interview Kanye. He then compared West with Cersei Lannister of Game of Thrones with the way the rapper changes the group around him. Salley stated, “Cersei, you know, the Queen. You see how she kept changing the small group of people.” He added, “That’s what people who are blinded by fame and drunk in its liquor [do].”

The former Chicago Bulls player implied West changes the people around him if they don’t agree with him. He added that many celebrities like the rapper feel like they have to stay relevant every day and that fame is a dangerous drug.

Pusha T on Ye

During an interview with XXLMAG, Pusha T talked about the cessation of his friendship with Kanye West. He said, “He’s not speaking to me now. If you ain’t with it, you ain’t down. And I ain’t with it. I’m not budging on that. I’m not with it. I heard about this new stuff [on InfoWars]. I don’t know. It’s something that just sort of tells me he’s not well, at the same time.”

Pusha T also noted that he is not the President of G.O.O.D. Music. His most recent album, It’s Almost Dry, is now his last for the label.
