Kyrie Irving is at the crossroads of his professional life. And like everyone who has something in mind, he has reached out to someone who he considers to be a friend – LeBron James.

With the NFL Draft season upon us, several coaches, NBA legends and rookie players have tried to get into the dynamics of setting up the roster, and there are rumors that Irving has something in mind.

Kyrie has some plans for himself and the Cavaliers

Kyrie Irving wants to create a ‘Big Three’ in the business – and plans to include himself, LeBron James and Luka Doncic. Irving wants to create this inner team in the Cleveland Cavaliers. And word on the street is that he has already approached LeBron, who currently has one year left on his contract.

The two have earlier played together for the Cavaliers for two seasons, from 2014 to 2017.  This partnership also gave the Cavaliers their first franchise championship.

And while these rumors are lighting up the gossip columns, Irving seems to be playing mind games with anyone following his social media handles. A while ago, Kyrie posted a black-and-white photo of him with none other than the boxing great Muhammad Ali.

Ali is one of the greatest sportspeople the world has ever seen, but in some circles, he is the symbol of hope, grit and what can come out of sheer ambition and a will to win.

The cryptic message raises several questions. Has Kyrie already reached a stage where he has to invoke other sporting greats? Does LeBron actually sit around looking at the social media posts of fellow sportsmen? If not, are there more people involved in the conversation and Kyrie wants to send them a subtle message?
