However, Morant did have some support. Some fans stated that Morant is in line to reach the Hall of Fame, and for him to have such an attitude is justified. They also called Marshall to be a nobody. One fan tweeted that Marshall was upset because Morant refused to give him an autograph, leading to the heated exchange.
That look disrespectful, Ja would rock him, Ja is a future hall of famer, watch his game. He’s got the ego for a reason, he knows.

The Grizzlies grabbed a lead from the get-go and scored 44 points in the first quarter. They managed to maintain a lead for the rest of the game. The New Orleans Pelicans saw the likes of Zion Williams and Trey Murphy III step up with 14 and 21 points respectively. However, their efforts weren’t enough for the Pelicans.
According to Morant, the energy in the team is different. He stated that from the beginning players were locked in which boosted their performance on the court. While talking about the 44-point first quarter, he said, “Playing our style of basketball is what led us to get out to a big lead early on.”
