The Kevin Durant saga appears to be far from over. New reports concerning the superstar’s future flood the internet almost every day. With KD’s fate still uncertain, recent rumors suggest he might return to the Bay Area. And Stephen Curry could be pulling out all the stops to make that transpire.

According to Fox Sports’ Ric Bucher, Stephen Curry has reached out to his old friend several times in an attempt to orchestrate a reunion. Apparently, the point guard’s goal is to add more rings to his resume and surpass LeBron James.

The accuracy of this claim is still to be confirmed. Curry, after all, has nothing more to prove. He recently lifted his fourth NBA title. He also took home the NBA Finals MVP, something that many chastised him for not having sooner. Curry also eclipsed Ray Allen’s record this past season to become the all-time leader in 3-pointers made.

Therefore, to suggest that Curry is pushing for a reunion with Kevin Durant to “pass LeBron” appears to be a bit of a stretch. Also, this isn’t the first time the Nets’ star has been linked to a return to the Warriors. Rumors of his blockbuster return did the rounds shortly after he requested a trade.

Nonetheless, if a reunion tour is on the cards, it would be worrisome for the rest. The Warriors conquered everything this past season. Their offensive firepower epitomizes fluidity just as it did years ago. Therefore, adding KD to that mix would spell terror.

Stephen Curry seems to be pushing?for a Kevin Durant reunion, leaving LeBron James fans upset

Curry’s primary motive for pushing for a reunion might not be entirely about passing LeBron James‘ ring count. Still, a reunion wouldn’t be a piece of good news for The King’s fanbase.

James’ supporters were left in dismay after they learned about this new rumor.

It wouldn?t take much adjustment from KD and the Warriors to hit the ground running

Kevin Durant played some of his best basketball as a Warrior. The Warriors were unstoppable during his three years here. They made the finals every year, winning the first two and coming within inches of winning the third before KD got injured.

And now, after all these years, the NBA is in for a terrorizing reunion. It’s realistic to assume that neither party will need to make significant adjustments to hit the ground running. With two of the best players in the world and a group of men that bleed unselfishness, they are?likely to succeed.

Their motion offensive system, which included a multitude of screens, superb ball movement, and high volume 3-point shooting, was a windstorm on the opposing defenders.

However, to land Durant, they would have to surrender a number of assets to the Brooklyn Nets, both in terms of players and draft capital.
