But all that glitters is not gold. Early in his career, Steph battled multiple ankle injuries in the early part of his career. At one point of time, he was labeled an injury-prone player because of the frequency of how quickly injured he would become. Also, being a son of an ex-NBA player has it own strengths and weaknesses. While you can get recognized and be under pressure, there might be sometimes when the coaches might let you go easily because you are a former player’s son. Dell said, “ It just wasn’t so much I am coaching the team it was to show support to the kids and keep them accountable…the other coaches knew they were Dell Curry’s son they would let them slack of a little bit but I was like no I am here to make sure that does not happen.. and that they work as hard as the next kid.. to hold them accountable.. during the summers the NBA would be off so the boys would be with me”
