The Los Angeles Lakers defeat the Detroit Pistons at home. They get back to .500 and will hope to cross that threshold in their next game. With so much riding on this game, LeBron James showed out as he carried the load of the Lakers for a good part.
However, there were some concerns as the ‘King’ looked hurt while playing.
The Laker came into the game off a loss. Hence, it was crucial for them to bounce back in this game. They did what the purple and gold do best and won the game.

While the contest was neck and neck from the start, the third quarter shifted the game into the Lakers’ favor.
The reason behind this was LeBron James who went on a scoring run in the third quarter. However, it seems that he is yet to recover from his injury as he spoke to the reporters about it.

LeBron James still having trouble
James was on fire going against his rival for the season. After suffering his second career ejection in the first game, James came in with a purpose. He ended a bad shooting slump and had the Staples crowd on their feet with his amazing display.
It was evident that he was playing through the pain. When questioned about it, he said that he is still feeling pain from his abdomen injury.

LeBron said: “Yeah I’ll be alright. You know still working through it. Its I think my third game back since the injury so just every game it’s getting better and better. But every now and then I can feel a little bit down there. But didn’t linger too much so that’s a good thing.”
While the ‘King’ did feel pain, he appeared to be more than healthy during the game. Shooting an impressive 60% from the field and 44 from downtown, James added 33 points to lead all scorers.
Moreover, his playmaking was also on show tonight: dishing out 9 assists through the game. His contributions became the turning point in the ball game.

The Lakers looked dominating as a unit for the first time in this season, as well. They were running all over the Pistons getting buckets and stops.
Apart from a scare late in the game, it was all good news for the Lakers who seem to be developing their chemistry just fine. While the incident with Isaiah Stewart was ugly, it seems to have given this Lakers team a new energy to keep going.
