March Madness is living up to its hype once again as young players continue to shine bright. A 20-year-old WNBA prospect, who has close ties with Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry, put on a solid display for UConn last night. Moreover, she led her team to an easy victory over Baylor University in the second round of the NCAA Women’s Division I Basketball Tournament. Curry, who set the world on fire with his iconic performance for Davidson 15 years ago, has been keeping up with this year’s March Madness showcase for both men and women and took note of the UConn star’s performance.

Representing the University of Connecticut Huskies women’s basketball team, 20-year-old Azzi Fudd led her team to the Sweet 16 as fans now await her performance against Ohio State University on Sunday.

Azzi Fudd from the Connecticut Huskies has dropped notable performances in the NCAA tournament this year. Ever since signing a deal with Curry’s brand SC30 inc., Fudd has been under the spotlight. In addition, her performance against the Baylor Lady Bears to lead her team to the Sweet 16 is making the rounds on the internet.

Fudd dropped 22 points, 16 of which came in the third quarter alone. Though it was a neck-to-neck game in the first half, Fudd made sure Baylor didn’t stand a chance in the second half. The Huskies eventually won the game 77-58 to book a date with the Ohio State Buckeyes on March 26.

Azzi Fudd and Curry have maintained a strong relationship ever since they met in the Warriors guard’s camp in 2018. After signing the youngster, the All-Time 3-point leader and Fudd sported the Curry Flow 10s during the 2022 NBA Finals and the Huskies camp respectively, in an attempt to promote gender equality. The bonding between the two continues to rise after Curry shared her 22-point performance in his Instagram story today.

Even before getting drafted by the Golden State Warriors, Stephen Curry earned plaudits for dropping 40 points in the first round of the NCAA postseason. Curry hit 8 threes against Gonzaga and as a commentator put it, he was “lighting it up.

Moreover, it was Davidson’s first NCAA tournament win since 1969. He led the team to the Elite Eight where they lost to the eventual champions, Kansas Jayhawks. Curry also set the All-Time three-pointers made in a season record with 162.
