The Brooklyn Nets have crashed out of the playoffs. The Boston Celtics were just too good for the Nets and swept them 4-0 in the first round itself. Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving were without answers against Jayson Tatum’s surging Celtics team.

The Nets played well in the first game, maybe even better than the Celtics but literally in the last second, Jayson Tatum scored a spinning buzzer-beater. One has to think that that moment was the turning point.

The Celtics defended tremendously well against the likes of KD and Kyrie. Although it is also true that they both were not in the best form. But game 4 saw KD score good points, and they still lost.

Brooklyn Nets were one the favorites to reach the finals coming into the season. With KD and KAI leading the way, they had a squad to challenge for the chip. However, their star players failed to step up.

Them being so good at their games and their reputation of being two of the most skilled players in the league really put the pressure on them which just might have worked against them. Safe to say Shaq and Chuck can relate.

On Inside the NBA, the 4 of them talked about how the Nets have two big stars and still trail 3-0. Shaquille O’Neal understood the pressure on KD and used him and Charles Barkley as an example while also dissing his fellow co-host, just a little.

Kenny made the point that it might be his fault because he was on the verge of getting out of the playoffs. But he would not judge KD solely on the basis of that. He said that KD might be able to make a comeback as well because the series was not over yet.

Although Kenny was right at the time, the series was over a few hours later. KD did get 39 points, 7 rebounds, and 9 assists, but it was not enough as Boston Celtics as a team were just too good.
