Putting an end to the long saga around Ja Morant?s future, NBA commissioner Adam Silver spilled the beans on the league?s decision. Morant is now suspended for the first 25 games of the upcoming season. A story of the future, the extent of losses Morant is likely to incur during the suspension has not been unfolded yet. The losses he incurred during his first suspension in March are often a big part of discourse whenever the player’s name is brought up. An NBA veteran, however, believes Morant has not lost money.

Due to the chances Ja Morant missed during his earlier seven-game suspension, he has reportedly lost $39 million. Believing the player has not lost a penny, an ex-NBA star has recently weighed in on Morant’s ‘money loss’ with an interesting take.

Gilbert Arenas, however, does not think along the same lines. Arenas said there was no guarantee Morant will make it to the All-NBA team, even if he was not suspended. The NBA veteran went on to stress that one can’t claim that Morant had lost $39 million when he has not made the sum in the first place. Speaking about the multi-million dollar loss, Gilbert Arenas said, “I can make that up. I can do other things to get more than $39 million. You take $39 million out of my f***ing wallet, that’s a f***ing hit. Hey, you changed my behavior. F***ing fantasy money I haven’t had yet.”

Games that he[Ja Morant] has missed or lawyer fees hurt more. Because that’s money you actually made and you gotta f***ing write actual checks versus the money you didn’t get yet,” said Gil.
