Ever since Zaya publicly came out as transgender, Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade and his wife Gabrielle Union have been extremely supportive of her. Following a months-long legal battle, Zaya officially changed her name and gender after her father’s petition was granted in February. Since then, the 15-year-old budding model has made several appearances in fashion shows and events, slaying in every outfit she wore. She was recently praised by several influential figures, including her dad, when she attended an event with Gabrielle Union.

Dwyane Wade recently shared a series of posts on his Instagram stories highlighting his daughter’s achievement. “DAZED” featured Zaya on the cover of their latest edition and Wade couldn’t be more proud. The young aspiring model also recently attended her first-ever board meeting along with her dad as she continues to work on her promising career.

Gabrielle Union attends the GLAAD Awards with Zaya

The 2023 GLAAD Media Awards took place on March 30 and Hollywood actress Gabrielle Union was among the many attendees who walked the red carpet. However, she wasn’t the only Wade family member who showed up in stunning attire. Zaya accompanied her stepmother to the annual event that honors individuals from various fields for their contributions toward the LGBTQIA+ community.

Union shared a series of photos from the event that had fans swooning over the Wade family. It also included an adorable picture of little Kaavia James posing with her mother and sister at their house. Her caption read, “These girls didn?t come to play #GLAADAwards”?

Union opted for a multi-colored hooded Moschino gown and paired it with neutral makeup and jewelry from EFFY. Whereas, Zaya chose an all-black ensemble from Miu Miu, white thong boots, and a white handbag.

Shortly after Gabrielle Union shared the pictures, fans showered them with endless compliments. InStyle Magazine wrote, “First Family of fashion.” Whereas Wade dropped three fire emojis for his three girls. Additionally, John Legend reacted to the post with a like and singer-songwriter Angelica Ross wrote, “So good seeing you all last night”
