Zion Williamson got caught up in a difficult situation after he announced that he was going to be a father soon. Adult film star Moriah Mills went on the internet to accuse Williamson, leading the 22-year-old’s stepfather to step in and show some support. Now, with only a few days of calm after the whole drama, Williamson is heading towards an uncertain offseason with the New Orleans Pelicans. With the NBA Draft coming up, his future in NOLA has come into question.

The Pelicans had a tough ending to their hard-fought season. Having their star player Zion Williamson sitting out for most of the games did not help either. And after the whole drama surrounding Williamson’s personal life, it looks like the former Duke star’s days in New Orleans may be numbered.

Now, with the NBA draft only days away, there is a strong belief that the Pelicans may be willing to trade Zion in order to get a higher pick in the upcoming draft. According to ESPN’s Brian Windhorst, “There is a lot of chatter about the picks that can move around the top 10 in this draft.

“And one team that has emerged that would really like to move up from their spot at 14 is the New Orleans Pelicans,” added Windhorst. He also mentioned that the Pelicans may be looking to target a player who is star caliber, like Scoot Henderson.

Days numbered for Zion Williamson?

The 14th pick in the upcoming NBA draft belongs to the New Orleans Pelicans. But how will the Pelicans lure a team that has a top-five pick? Well, according to Brian Windhorst, the entire league is questioning whether the Pelicans front office will make their star forward Zion Williamson available before the draft for a higher pick.

The New Orleans front office might be considering moving on from their former number-one pick. Given the whole drama on social media, as well as the constant injuries to Williamson, the team would go after a star who they can bank upon.
