Flat Earth Believer Shaquille O’Neal Tries to Destroy Science: “I’ve Lived on a Lake for 30 Years and I’ve Never Seen the Lake Move to the Left or Right”

Shaquille O’Neal, who was known to destroy backboards during his playing days, recently opted to give his take on destroying science. The Los Angeles Lakers legend is one of the smartest people out there. Shaq is undoubtedly a deep thinker who occasionally delivers sound advice that can change one’s life.

Shaq recently traveled from the United States to Australia, and it appears that he spent a great deal of time thinking about how the Earth functions on his travels. Even after a long voyage of deep thinking, the big man is still not convinced that the Earth is not flat.

Shaquille O’Neal recently appeared on ‘The Kyle and Jackie O Show’. When asked whether he stood firm on his comments from 2017 and still believed the earth was flat, he responded, “It’s a theory, It’s just a theory, they teach us a lot of things.”

He then chose to expand on his Flat Earth theory by using his flight from home to Australia as an example. “I flew 20 hours today, not once did I go this way,” Shaq stated, implying that it flew straight rather than diagonally. He continued by claiming that not once did he tip over or go upside down during the journey.

Shaq then claimed that the Earth is not spinning. He even went on and used another real-life event to back up his assertion. “You know they say the world is spinning? I’ve lived on a lake for 30 years and I’ve never seen the lake move to the left or right,” the four-time NBA champion claimed.

Many individuals may have been taken aback by the big man’s scientific theories. But everything stems from his comments from 2017 about the Earth being flat.

While Shaquille O’Neal perhaps unsettled some people with his flat Earth theory, he did it before in 2017. The NBA legend claimed on ‘The Big Podcast’ that schools are the ones that influence and manipulate our thoughts. He then went on to explain why he believes the Earth is flat.

Shaq claimed that there are three ways to manipulate the mind: what you read, see, and hear. He continued by claiming that schools teaches that Columbus found America. However, when he arrived in America, he saw numerous fair-skinned people, implying that Columbus did not discover America. 

Shaq continued by saying that whenever he drives from coast to coast, the roads are flat to him. He claimed that he doesn’t go upside down at a 360-degree angle. He then went on to question everyone who thinks the Earth is round, saying, “You mean to tell me that China is under us? China is under us? It’s not. The world is flat.”

Shaq, however, is not the first NBA player to claim that the Earth is flat. On that list, he is joined by Kyrie Irving. However, during an ‘NBA on TNT’ broadcast as well on the ‘Jimmy Kimmel Show’, the big man retracted his flat Earth remarks, stating that he was only joking after all.
