NBA player LeBron James might be reaching his career’s end in a few years from now. But the business mogul in him is just getting started as a rookie. The Akron Hammer has achieved almost everything that is there to achieve on the court and now it’s time for him to shine brighter off it.

Born in Akron, Bron was a basketball prodigy and that forced him to develop a business acumen earlier in his teenage years. With several business deals knocking on his doors even before the NBA draft, it was the need of the hour for him to build a financial sense. He did exactly that and as a result of some key decisions, he is all set to become a billionaire.

LeBron James and his Billion Dollar Dream

With a young Bron on Sports Illustrated’s cover page, the NBA scouts and also the shoe companies knew what was coming. So Reebok, Adidas, and Nike tried their best to sign the talent with unique seven-figure deals. That an 18-YO signed with Nike even as they bid the smallest figure proved earlier that he was in the long-term gain game.

Fast forward from 2003 to 2021, the man is closer than ever to hit the three-comma-club. As per a fresh report from Forbes, LBJ can join the elite club of Cristiano Ronaldo, Tiger Woods, Lionel Messi, and Floyd Mayweather to touch this crazy benchmark. The business magazine has claimed that Bron’s career earnings would then be $300 million from the NBA and $700 million from the off-court businesses.

What are the off-court businesses helping the L-Train’s financial boom?

Apart from LeBron‘s multiple endorsements (AT&T etc) and memorabilia sales, the Akron Hammer makes tons of millions of dollars from his businesses. He, along with Maverick Carter, is a part-owner in the Boston Red Sox. This deal came as a second big signing after his connection with Fenway Sports Group (FSG) led to a 2% stake in Liverpool FC.

Then, his production company startup, SpringHill Entertainment is set to launch its biggest project (Space Jam 2) with Warner Bros. If this movie does well, Bron will suddenly become a big name in the media industry, getting a chance to develop mega hits.

Plus, Uninterrupted, a platform where athletes can speak their heart out, with no media bothering them, is already doing good. Apart from these three, Bron’s $1 million investment in Blaze Pizza and his ownership in workout supplement manufacturer Ladder, are giving good returns.

But these were just the tip of the iceberg. His association with Coca-Cola, Nike, Walmart, GMC, Rimowa, and other brands is also adding up to big numbers.
