NBA legend Michael Jordan is a household name for every basketball fan. Not just in the United States but all around the world. There’s hardly any person who is an NBA fan and wouldn’t have heard about Jordan. In a behind-the-scenes video of Jimmy Kimmel Live! the host of the show was seen interacting with a grandmother who was visiting her grandson in Los Angeles.

The video shows Kimmel having a fun conversation with the grandmother who introduces him to her grandson and his wife. She goes on to inform Kimmel that her grandson played pro basketball in China and Peru. The conversation takes an interesting turn as the grandmother added, “Over in China they thought he was Michael Jordan, they was running asking for autographs, and he was giving ’em.” She also mentioned that her son was once mistaken for Mike Tyson in Las Vegas. Kimmel concluded their conversation by asking if all the men in their family resembled famous ‘Mikes’.

Mike Tyson almost got into a brawl with the real Michael Jordan

Michael Jordan and Mike Tyson are undoubtedly included among the biggest names in sports history. While MJ holds six NBA championships and several NBA Finals MVPs to his name, Tyson became the undisputed champion by the age of 21. Both are legends in the sporting world, but sport is not the only common connection they have. In addition to having been born in the same hospital as mentioned by Tyson himself, the two were also involved with the same woman.

According to Chicago Sun Times, Tyson almost came to blows with Jordan at a birthday dinner. Tyson’s ex-manager, Rory Holloway recounted the incident in his book ‘Taming the Beast: The Untold Story of Mike Tyson’.

He wants no part of this. Don King trying to change the subject. Me and John trying to hold Mike down. Mike telling everyone he’s going to bust Jordan’s a**. Jordan’s dressed sharp as always and he can’t get out of there fast enough.” Holloway wrote in his book.
