The 1992 ‘Dream Team’ is undoubtedly one of the most star-stacked teams of all time. Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Charles Barkley, Karl Malone, and John Stockton were part of the greatest assembly of players ever.

Golden State Warriors star, Andre Iguodala, once called the 1992 ‘Dream Team’ the best ever but has lately deviated to supporting his own 2012 Olympic team. He took to the ‘Point Forward’ podcast with Evan Turner to share his opinions. Iguodala compared each and every player between those two teams and concluded that his 2012 team could go head to head with that 1992 ‘Dream Team’.

The 2012 team had the largest margin of victory in Olympic history against Nigeria. Andre Iguodala pointed out that Michael Jordan was in his prime, but so was Kobe Bryant. He preferred to take Chris Paul over John Stockton, who himself was at the end of his prime. Iguodala also said that the 1996 Chicago Bulls led by Michael Jordan would be able to beat his 2017 Golden State Warriors side.

His argument as to why the 2012 Olympic side would beat the 1992 Michael Jordan ‘Dream Team’ was airtight up until the Michael Jordan argument. Evan Turner made sure that Iguodala knew that matchups for David Robinson, and Ewing, were going to be a problem for Chandler Parsons.

Iguodala believes that Kobe Bryant is just a human Michael Jordan, and back in 2012, he was in his element, so it would be tough to match up with him. He pointed out that Kevin Durant and LeBron James were both in their prime for the 2012 USA Olympic side. There are not many teams that can beat a team with prime LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, and Kevin Durant.

Evan Turner pointed out that no one on the 2012 team but Kobe had stepped on the court with Michael Jordan. Andre Iguodala admitted that it would be difficult to beat Michael Jordan.

While finding a way around Chicago BullsMichael Jordan to beat the 1992 side, actually brought up Kobe. Iguodala admitted that Kobe Bryant is the top two. He believes there is nothing wrong with being a second Jordan.

Iguodala said,” I don’t think any of us are in his vicinity. I don’t think there is nothing wrong with being a second MJ.”

He called Kobe a human version of Jordan and a second MJ. He admitted that no one deserves to step on the court with him, and his greatness would go unmatched.
